Devin Pollitt, RSW, MSW, PhD(c)
Devin Pollitt is a Registered Social Worker with a decade of clinical experience, primarily serving the Pacific Northwest. He has provided onsite mental health services and specialized workshops focusing on professional quality of life to remote Indigenous communities, including Lax
Kw’alaams, the Nisga’a Nation, the Haisla Nation, Kitselas First Nation, the Tahltan Nation, and the Tsilhqot’in Nation. Devin holds both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in clinical/research social work and is currently a doctoral candidate at Memorial University. His research centers on
the relationships between healthcare workers' workplace value differences and their experiences of burnout, compassion satisfaction, and secondary trauma. His Master's thesis analyzed data from a national study of palliative care nurses, focusing on workplace value differences and their impact on professional quality of life outcomes. His doctoral research aims to develop novel measures and tools to help organizations reduce work value differences in Indigenous child welfare practice.
In addition to clinical services, Devin offers organizational and research consulting in program assessment, development, and management, including community needs assessments. He has also trained in section 211 views of the child court assessments for family law disputes, Gladue
assessments, and Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM). Beyond his professional endeavors, Devin enjoys outdoor activities such as motorcycling and fishing, playing guitar and singing in live performances, and international travel. He cherishes time spent with his 11-year-old daughter and their Goldendoodle, Rosie.
