Blended Skid Steer Training

Skid steers are a popular equipment choice for construction and agricultural sites around the world. If you’re looking to obtain a skid steer certification, our blended skid steer training course is the perfect solution. This course is a combination of online operation theory (approx 1-3hrs) and in-class assessment (4hrs).

Course Topics

  • Site hazards.
  • Skid steer laws and regulations.
  • Components, attachments, and safety devices.
  • Walk-around and pre-operation inspections.
  • Proper start-up procedures.
  • Skid steer travel.
  • Loading/unloading buckets.
  • Levelling materials.
  • Tip overs and how to prevent them.
  • Proper parking and shutdown procedures.
  • Basic maintenance.

The contents of this skid steer certification course comply with CSA B335, SAE J1388-2013, and CFR 1926.20/1926.21. 

The online portion of our blended skid steer training can be completed any time, from anywhere, and on any device. This allows participants to obtain their skid steer certification even if they’re on a busy schedule. The course is approximately 1-3 hours long. If participants can’t set aside this entire amount of time, the course can be paused and resumed as needed. A mark of at least 80% must be achieved to pass this blended skid steer training. Participants will be allowed 2 additional attempts if this score is not obtained on the first attempt.
