Description

The Occupational health and safety awareness training provides a basic understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), and does not replace any sector specific, hazard specific, or competency specific training.

This training introduces supervisors to the Occupational Health and Safety Act. It focuses on the health and safety rights and responsibilities of workers, supervisors and employers. It also serves as a general introduction to workplace health and safety.

Supervisors can use this free training program as one way to meet the minimum training required by the Occupational Health and Safety Awareness and Training regulation.

The program can be completed using the workbook or the eLearning module.

Pass Mark

Testing conducted throughout this online course is designed to reinforce the information presented. A mark of 80% must be achieved in order to pass this course. The course is able to be taken three times in efforts to achieve the pass mark. Printable resources are available in the form of a comprehensive student manual. The manual is a valuable resource for future use and knowledge retention.

Upon successful completion of this online course, a certificate of completion will be available for download and printing.
