Asbestos Level 2 (WorkSafeBC Approved)

Description

This WorkSafeBC Approved Asbestos Level 2 course is a comprehensive 16-hour, two-day instructor-led training program designed for workers involved in moderate-risk asbestos abatement activities.

The course is intended to provide participants with the practical knowledge, regulatory understanding, and hands-on skills required to safely perform moderate-risk asbestos work in accordance with current WorkSafeBC regulations and industry best practices.

Participants will learn how to identify asbestos hazards, establish safe work areas, use proper containment procedures, select and inspect personal protective equipment (PPE), and safely handle, remove, and dispose of asbestos-containing materials (ACMs). The course also covers decontamination procedures, exposure
control measures, respiratory protection, and safe work planning for moderate-risk asbestos projects.

This training includes classroom instruction, practical demonstrations, hands-on exercises, group discussions, and competency evaluations to ensure participants understand proper asbestos abatement procedures and workplace safety requirements.

Training is available in English, Spanish, Punjabi, and Hindi.

Certification


Participants are required to attend and participate in the full two-day course and must successfully complete
the final assessment with a minimum passing grade of 80%. Upon successful completion, participants will receive an official WorkSafeBC Asbestos Level 2 Certificate.
