- Daily checklist- Discussion of inspections that are required for using a swing stage covering top rigging of all types, staging including decks, stirrups, and motor operations.
- Codes of safe practice- Discussion of current regulations regarding safe use such as control zones, working at heights, and other safety issues with have a swing stage on a site.
- Stage operations- Discussion and hands-on training on safe use of the equipment. This would cover the actual operations of the equipment such as how to stand and move, issues that might arise from the building, issues in the operation of the motors, wind speed hazards, Power issues, dealing with emergencies in the stage, basic troubleshooting, and end of day securement.

This training is for basic awareness and applies only to temporary staging. For permanent swing stages, such as BMUs built into buildings, additional site-specific training is required.
Participants are not required to bring PPE for training
Delivery Method: Classroom Session. The classroom content is delivered through presentations and interactive discussions. It is then reinforced through workbooks, handouts, and a written assessment.
