Common Safety Orientation (CSO) Classroom
Description
Energy Safety Canada has recently launched a classroom version of the Common Safety Orientation (CSO). Making the CSO available both online and in-class encourages broad industry adoption of a single safety orientation and makes it easier for workers to access the training.
TOPICS INCLUDE
- Personal accountability for a safe work environment
- Arriving ready to work
- Major hazards in the oil and gas industry
- The Life Saving Rules
- Worksite maintenance
- Emergency preparedness and response procedures
- Reporting incidents and near misses
- Safe work communications
- Contributing to a respectful workplace
A final test score of at least 80% is required to pass/receive certification.
*AT SAFETY WITHDRAWAL, CANCELLATION, & REFUND POLICY*
Students may formally withdraw from a class by contacting AT Safety Training at least 24 business hours prior to the class start time.
Withdrawals can also be submitted via email: admin@atsafetytraining.ca. Students and companies are responsible for all courses registered until a formal withdrawal is made within the refund deadline.
We allow a one-time re-booking in extenuating circumstances within the 24 business hour period, subject to a $75 re-booking fee.
All cancellations will receive a confirmation email verifying that the course has been cancelled. This email is required to process any refund.
Important Notes:
· Non-attendance does not constitute a formal withdrawal and will result in a 100% loss of payment.
· Students who attend but are unsuccessful in passing a course are not eligible for a refund. We do allow a course redo at a reduced cost, depending on the course, or at the original course price.
Who Should Attend
The Common Safety Orientation (CSO) is intended for new workers in the oil and gas industry. With content that is driven and endorsed by industry, the CSO provides consistent safety messaging that clearly explains safe work practices and eliminates the need for redundant general orientation training.
