Description
The Site Surveying 101 – introduction to leveling course is designed for construction personnel interested in learning skills and principals to successfully run level loops, transfer and establish benchmarks on construction sites, and determine the elevations of objects independently and/or relative to each other.
At the end of the course participants will be able to:

Successfully use survey equipment in order to perform site leveling procedures to establish benchmarks and elevations.

State and define basic leveling methods and procedures for benchmark leveling.

Book, record and reduce level notes and perform the required checks given the field information.

Describe the Peg Test method for determining and correcting collimation errors in leveling instruments.

State and discuss the care of levels, speed, accuracy, and common sources of errors in the leveling procedure.
No special math skills required.

The course is eligible for 2 CCA Gold Seal education credits upon completion.
Registrants seeking gold seal credits for this course will be required to complete an assessment during the course to qualify to have the gold seal credit endorsement appear on their certificate of completion.
