Leading and Managing Organizational Change
Gold Seal: 2 Credits
Description
Are you and your construction coworkers constantly adapting to changes in the workplace and changes from clients? Are you looking to build and expand your business? Do you want to successfully lead projects that involve significant changes?
This seminar will prepare you to manage and adapt to organizational changes and to lead and mentor others.
You’ll understand the impacts change has on employees and clients, and what you need to do to manage and address any resistance. You’ll also learn practical tips and techniques on how to get your organization and clients ready for upcoming changes and impacts, whether working with project owners, subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, regulatory bodies, and other key stakeholders. You’ll learn how to persuade and influence others, recognize how people process information, and more!
Through a series of practical, hands-on construction industry-specific workshops, you’ll develop a deeper understanding of what’s involved in successfully adapting to and implementing change, both from a personal and professional perspective.
In this seminar, you'll:
· Understand the impact large-scale changes have on you and your employees and clients
· Learn how to adapt to and be resilient to change, whether the change is from a people, process, or technology transformation
· Develop specific approaches to managing and leading change, including working with sponsors and change champions (people who can help influence others)
· Apply best practices in leading and mentoring others
· Learn how to build and expand your business through increasing organizational readiness
· Build a strategy and plan to anticipate and address resistance to change, engage with stakeholders, and facilitate change
