Foundations of Leadership
Gold Seal: 10 Credits
Description
Most construction leaders got promoted for one reason: they were good at the job. Good framers, sharp estimators, reliable supers. But being good at the technical work isn't the same as being good at leading people. And nobody ever trained you for that part.
Foundations of Leadership is an 8-session in-person program built specifically for construction foremen, superintendents, and project managers who are ready to make that transition intentionally. Over four hours per session, you'll work through proven frameworks: Maxwell's 5 Levels, Sinek's Start with WHY, Lencioni's team dynamics, Covey's trust principles, applied to real construction scenarios. Scope disputes with subs. Hard conversations with crew. Delegation that actually works. Conflict that builds trust instead of destroying it.
This isn't theory. Every example comes from the job site, and every framework has been tested by leaders working under real pressure. You'll put what you learn into practice through public speaking, coaching conversations, negotiations, and conflict resolution alongside peers who understand the challenges you face. You'll also leave with a practical personal leadership plan designed to be used, not left sitting in a drawer.
The goal is simple: help you grow as a leader so the people around you can grow. Because leaders who invest in their people don't just build better teams. They build better projects, better companies, and better careers.
Join us once a week for eight weeks. You'll work through real leadership situations, learn practical tools, and discuss challenges with others in the industry.
