This course takes a three-pronged approach to networking:
- Pitch – what you’ll say.
- Path – where you’ll say it and to whom.
- Plan – how you’ll work the room and convert conversations into leads and new business.
This workshop is ideal for newcomers to business; those who want to expand their reach; introverts who need to network; and those who need to freshen up their client approach.
Learning Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Identify where their target market networks, in both formal and informal settings
- Formulate formal and informal elevator pitches
- How to strategically work a room for maximum penetration
- How to easily enter and exit conversations
- How to effectively follow up
Hot seat coaching makes this interactive workshop a kinetic experience. Participants will leave with their elevator pitches ready to start networking. Bonus: Each participant will receive a no-fail follow-up plan from our instructor Jill Ellis Worthington.

This course is delivered in partnership with local and provincial construction associations across Canada. You will be participating with a group of industry peers from multiple regions.
Sharing a single registration between two or more individuals is not permitted. Please register each person who will be in attendance.
Prerequisites
Our Strategic Communication Planning for Contractors course is an ideal prerequisite to this session, but it is not required as they are complementary workshops. Participants who take both will realize maximum benefit.

Internet connection- For best results, you will want to ensure you have an internet connection with an upload/download speed of 3-5 Mbps. You can test your internet speed here. The minimum recommended speed is 1.5 Mbps, but anything below 3 Mbps may result in loss of quality or buffering. Ideally hardwired connection versus wireless for stability - connect your computer directly to your router using an ethernet cable, rather than using your home wi-fi.
