Workplace Culture
Description
As we emerge from the pandemic, examining workplace culture appears to be rising from the ashes. But what exactly is meant by culture? And does it matter?
Culture is your organization’s DNA. All organizations are a whole of their individuals, practices, systems, behaviours- both past and present. Each one has an identity- its own organizational culture. It’s what makes your company unique- and it’s integral to delivering on your business strategies.
However, the past two and a half years have been a time of extraordinary change. Over this time, we saw a near-universal push for organizations to respond quickly to a number of powerful external forces which struck them in quick succession, setting off a chain of internal reactions. Diversity, equity, inclusion, covid restrictions, supply chain interruptions, sustainability, working from home, work-life balance, labour shortages, vaccination policies, and new generational preferences.
The end result is a gradual shift toward company cultures and values that meet individual demands- rather than yours- and that can be problematic as that puts intense pressure on organizations and their cultures. As a result, the focus on organizational culture has never been more intense.
In this session, we will have a quick look at what is culture, how great companies get it, how to spearhead a culture renovation, as well as what forces your workers will continue to put on your organization, and the impact that may have on your workplace culture and practices for years to come.
