Emotional Intelligence is a key success factor for both employees and leaders in today’s competitive marketplace. One of the key elements of emotional intelligence is self-awareness, which provides insight into your assets as well as areas where you can make improvements. In this session, you will gain an understanding of your emotional “triggers” and how to react with focus and purpose. You will also learn strategies to identify other people’s emotions and how to communicate using empathy and understanding. The result is improved relationships and a higher level of success in achieving organizational goals.

  • Define emotional intelligence and how it relates to your relationships both at work and in your life
  • Understand the difference between emotional intelligence and IQ
  • Define the qualities that enable successful working relationships with peers, management and clients
  • Build an understanding of your strengths and areas for improvement related to emotional intelligence
  • Explore and practice a model to assertively communicate your feelings, beliefs wants, and needs
  • Learn to effectively recognize, understand, and appreciate how other people feel
  • Learn strategies to make stronger decisions to align with personal, team and organizational goals

 

Delivery Method: Virtual Session – Zoom Meeting

Course Fee Includes: Access to the course, course materials, and a digital certificate upon completion.  

This course is delivered in partnership with local and provincial construction associations across Canada. You will be participating with a group of industry peers from multiple regions. 

Sharing a single registration between two or more individuals is not permitted. Please register each person that will be in attendance.
