Recognizing the Influence of Hidden Bias in the Workplace
This session explores the impact of hidden biases and stereotypes in the workplace, offering strategies to recognize and reduce their influence. Learn how to foster a more inclusive and equitable environment through actionable techniques.
Description
We may not realize it, but we have been “programmed” by images on television, in movies and magazines, and on social media. Over time, this results in groups of people being labeled with a characteristic that can’t possibly fit all group members. Our past experiences, culture, and background also have an impact. In this session, we will explore stereotypes and biases and learn strategies to avoid discriminatory behavior.
