Feeling overworked and overwhelmed? You aren’t alone and these feelings affect our ability to function both at work and at home. Many of us have experienced high levels of stress and busyness over a long period of time . Without taking steps to manage or reduce it, exhaustion can take over leaving us emotionally and physically burnt out. Join us to learn how you can recognize signs of burnout and take steps to build habits to support your and your teams mental wellbeing.
What you will learn:
• Recognize the warning signs / symptoms of burnout
• The science of stress and our “window of tolerance”
• Strategies for setting boundaries and tools for daily resilience
Delivery Methods: Virtual with Zoom Meetings or In-Person/Classroom private delivery available.
Course Fee Includes: Access to the course, course materials, and a digital certificate upon completion.
This course is delivered in partnership with local and provincial construction associations across Canada. You may be participating with a group of industry peers from multiple regions.
Sharing a single registration between two or more individuals is not permitted. Please register each person that will be in attendance.
Presenters:
Mackenzie Thomas
Mackenzie Thomas is a fifth-year Doctor of Psychology candidate at Concordia University of Edmonton. Her research explored how we understand and assess personality disorders, while her clinical work focuses on supporting individuals with life transitions, relationships, anxiety, and trauma. She values helping people make sense of their experiences, reconnect with what matters to them, and find sustainable ways forward. Mackenzie also has a passion for education and has taught undergraduate university courses, with the goal of making psychology accessible and relevant to everyday life. Outside of the office, you can usually find her reading, and she is always open to a good book recommendation
