Free! Let's Talk About It: Mental Health in the Construction Industry
A candid, practical introduction to mental health at work for construction teams
Description
A candid, practical introduction to mental health at work for construction teams, covering what mental health actually is, why construction workers are at higher risk, and how to support yourself and the person next to you.
Presented by: Brandy Zimmerman, Thriving Workplaces
Hi, I’m Brandy Zimmerman.
I founded Thriving Workplaces after watching too many good people burn out in systems that were never designed to support them. I work with organizations to fix the real culprits behind workplace stress – so teams can handle ambitious goals without breaking, and mental health and high performance stop competing and start working together.
I’ve done this with 45+ organizations and 3,500+ employees across corporate, non-profit, and government sectors. As a former Associate Minister of Health and a Certified Psychological Health & Safety Advisor, I bring both the policy expertise and the practical tools to make it stick.
My superpower? Turning workplace mental health theory into practical actions that work when your team is under pressure and everything feels urgent.
