Workload Without Burnout: Practical Tools for Construction Leaders
Description
Construction work does not respect a 40-hour week. Deadlines compress, weather changes the plan, a subcontractor falls through, and suddenly the crew is pulling 10-hour days for three weeks straight. This workshop is about how to lead a team through the realities of construction workload without burning everyone out (including yourself). We will cover the difference between busy-and-engaged versus overwhelmed-and-eroding, how to recognize the tipping point, and practical tools for managing both your own workload and your team's. Includes a productivity planning approach adapted for the unpredictability of site work.
What participants walk away with
- A clear distinction between healthy-busy and overwhelm, and how to tell where they (and their team) are sitting on that spectrum.
- Two or three workload management tools that work even when the schedule keeps shifting.
- Practical strategies for protecting recovery time during high-pressure periods.
