Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility (IDEA) In Action
Creating, fostering and sustaining inclusive, diverse, equitable, and accessible workplaces is everyone’s responsibility.
Description
IDEA in Action
Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility
The question about focusing on Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility (IDEA) is no longer an “if?”, but rather “when and how?” While there are many business and financial reasons for this imperative, what we all know intuitively is that it is the right thing to do. But that can be easier said than done. Without the right training, an IDEA strategy remains well-intentioned words on paper, and an organization’s diversity potential is not channelled for maximum performance and success.
Creating, fostering and sustaining inclusive, diverse, equitable, and accessible workplaces is everyone’s responsibility. We should all play a part in fostering an environment where every person can bring their whole selves to work, and learning the right behaviours and skills is the first step to getting there. In this training, participants will learn the key IDEA concepts and will receive practical and tangible tools to help create workplaces of inclusivity and belonging.

- Understanding of foundational IDEA terms and concepts
- Understanding barriers to access
- Recognition and management of unconscious biases and how to tackle them
